Here is something that parents of prospective WCA students might consider. There are some 40 public middle schools in Palm Beach County, and about an equal number of charter schools and private middle schools. Yet, of the total 24 prizes awarded in the 2015 and 2016 Palm Beach County Middle School Poetry Competition, 9 prizes were won by Wellington Collegiate Academy students. This speaks volumes for WCA’s program in reading and writing, two areas that set a foundation for student success.
